Jeanne Rose: Song Lyrics
Gift of a Star

A story of the Homeless, the nameless of the streets of Seattle. Even as I walked along the ferry access area/downtown Seattle...I saw so many homeless people without shelter on our very streets. Curled up in blankets, coats, old junk, as many slept on the cold hard sidewalk. I hesitate to think how often this occurs to people all over the US. It is sad to think that one day, just when it is least expected, we too could find ourselves homeless...and so became this song. One never knows where the future will take us, only we can make the changes and create a place for those in need, or give to those that are hungry and cold.
This song can be found on the Bainbridge Island CD called, Midwinter Graces.(Island Music Guild) Though sold out, maybe some day they will again put it into production for sale, once again. May this song touch you and keep you aware of just how lucky we are to live here, to have a warm home, and clean bed every day.
Bless you all!
