While walking down the Seattle waterfront, day after day from class at the Art Institute of Seattle, I was shocked to see so many homeless people. After weeks of handing out coins, or bills to numerous people in need I began to think about how lucky so many are, including myself. On my ferry ride back to Seattle I started thinking about what it would be like if someone came to my door on a cold winters evening...and so became this song.
